Born and raised on the West Coast of British Columbia where his parents owned a Salmon fishing lodge, Alex’s passion for fly fishing guides his career choices. He has managed a fly fishing retail store and supplied flies to shops across North America as a commercial tyer. Alex is also a published author of numerous feature articles on fly fishing. In the late 1990s, Alex was a 3-time member of Team Canada, Canada’s national fly fishing team, which competed in Ireland, the Czech Republic and Poland.  For ten years, Alex has worked as a professional fly fishing guide, traveling throughout BC, Alaska, Russia and Chile. This extensive experience as a guide culminated in the opening of Alex’s own guide service in Fernie, BC.
