A prolific writer, Paul has authored four books: Modern Atlantic Salmon Flies, The Miramichi River Journal, The Ausable River Journal and Atlantic Salmon. He has also contributed his 35-plus years of knowledge and expertise to other books such as World's Best Trout Flies and The Fishing Book. In 1996, Paul began a full-time freelance writing and photography career. He is a major contributor of fly fishing articles to Canadian and international magazines and his writing has taken him to every province in Canada and more than a dozen countries. Part of his travels has been as a member of Canada’s Fly Fishing Team; he has participated in a number of World Fly Fishing Championships since 1988. Despite his extensive travels, Paul still prefers the local waters of Atlantic Canada and Eastern Quebec for pursuing his favourite fish, Atlantic Salmon and Trout.
