Stu has been fly fishing since the age of 11. During his fly fishing career he has appeared on television and radio, has done seminars across Canada and the United States, and has worked as a casting instructor for the film industry.

Stu has written on warm water fly fishing for American Angler Magazine and other publications in western Canada. He believes that any fish can be caught on flies and has developed techniques and patterns to do so especially on the warm water species that are found in Manitoba. His favourite is big Pike on the fly but he is not adverse to going for huge Channel Cats. His next article will be in the spring or summer issue of the Canadian Flyfisher on Walleye.
